On November 18, at the Innovation Center under the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovations (Kyrgyzpatent), the final stage of the event "Makeathon Kyrgyzstan – Create and Make the World Better!" took place.

🎯 The goal of the project was to create an innovative platform for developing user-friendly, easy-to-produce, and affordable prototypes aimed at improving and simplifying the lives of people with disabilities.

🔥 A total of 9 teams from various regions of Kyrgyzstan participated. Over 72 hours, young engineers, developers, and designers worked on creating prototypes of innovative devices and presented them to the jury.

Each project was unique in its own way. Participants made every effort to develop useful and affordable products to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

🏆 The winning team was "3222" from Osh. They invented an online application called "Gesture Translator" for people with hearing and vision impairments. The team received a cash prize of $1,000.

🏆 The second-place prize of $600 was awarded to the "Cheburek" team from Bishkek. They presented two projects: a technology for producing Braille inscriptions and a smart home system for the hearing-impaired. Their prototype stood out for its affordability and quick availability.

🏆 The third-place prize of $400 went to the "Maker Space" team from Bishkek. They developed an accessible mobile application for centers working with people with disabilities.

The remaining six teams received encouragement prizes from the project's partners.

👨🏻‍🏫 It was a tough decision for the jury, as every project was presented at a high level, exceeding the expectations of organizers, partners, and guests.

✅ The Public Foundation Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions (FSDS) expresses its gratitude to the Innovation Center for co-organizing the event. It should be noted that FSDS has been organizing the Makeathon in Kyrgyzstan for three consecutive years.
