In support of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 infection, the Fair and Sustainable Solutions (FSDS) Public Foundation decided to fulfill its civic duty and provide targeted humanitarian assistance to vulnerable families whose children are at risk of malnutrition.

FSDS, together with its regional partner “Shoola-Kol”, purchased food and essential goods and delivered them to 60 families in the villages of Bokonbaeva, Tört-Kul, Esherova, and Ton in the Issyk-Kul region, as well as 50 families in the Jalal-Abad region with the support of the Jalal-Abad City Rural Advisory Service.

The food package for each family included: 1 sack of flour, 10 kg of rice, 5 kg of buckwheat, cabbage, 6 kg of carrots, 15 kg of potatoes, 6 kg of beetroot, 8 kg of walnuts, 5 kg of onions, 5 liters of vegetable oil, 3 kg of sugar, 6 packs of tea, salt, sweets, and hygiene products. The variety of products was selected to ensure balanced nutrition, including sufficient vitamins, macro-, and micronutrients for the body.

"Our initiative is aimed at supporting vulnerable families during the challenging epidemiological situation in the country. We believe it is important to provide them with support in the form of food and essential items," stated the FSDS team.
