In May, floods occurred in the Jalal-Abad region, resulting in dozens of houses and villages in the Suyak, Barpy, and Atabekov villages of the Suyak district being submerged.
People found themselves in a difficult situation — homes were damaged, the entire harvest was lost, and personal belongings and household appliances were destroyed. The "Rural Consulting Service of Jalal-Abad" reached out to us for help in organizing the collection of humanitarian aid for those affected.
The Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions (FSDS) Public Fund purchased and delivered emergency food kits that included:
— Meat products
— Vegetable oil
— Sugar, rice, peas, buckwheat, beans, and pearl barley
— Potatoes, onions, carrots
— Household cleaning supplies (soap, laundry detergent, liquids, and others)
All the families who received help are beneficiaries of the FSDS project "Food Security for Rural Populations," and have been actively participating in the implementation of the project for two years.
