At the Coordination Meeting of the "Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions" (FSDS) Foundation and partners of the "Socio-Economic Development of Vulnerable Households in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan" project, the support of 25 business projects in Batken, Naryn, Issyk-Kul, and Jalal-Abad regions was announced. In addition, over 200 people received training in entrepreneurship and socially significant project development. These achievements were made possible thanks to the effective cooperation between FSDS and its partners.

The project is actively being implemented in 12 municipalities across Naryn, Batken, Issyk-Kul, and Jalal-Abad regions, as well as in 5 residential areas of Bishkek. It focuses on working with vulnerable groups, including unemployed youth with irregular incomes, returned young migrants, youth with disabilities, and young women. A key component is training in business planning and entrepreneurship, followed by funding for successful business plans.

Project participants also gain skills in engaging with local authorities and jointly addressing social issues. At the Coordination Meeting, key annual achievements were discussed, including trainings and seminars for over 200 people, successful cooperation with ayil okmotu (local self-governments), and funding for 25 business projects. FSDS Executive Director Muratbek Ismailov expressed his satisfaction with the project outcomes and emphasized its significance for vulnerable families in the regions and in Bishkek city.

The project also covers six villages in the Andijan region of Uzbekistan, where local residents are showing a keen interest in entrepreneurship development. Project leader Janibek Pakyrov noted that the participation of Uzbek colleagues has fostered experience-sharing and achievements in small business development. A presentation of successful cases from Issyk-Kul region's social project implementation is planned.

During the Coordination Meeting, participants shared their achievements and success stories and discussed plans for the current year.

As a reminder, the "Socio-Economic Development of Vulnerable Households in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan" project was launched in January 2023 and is implemented by the "Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions" Foundation. The project aims to expand the social and economic opportunities of low-income households in the target regions of both countries to improve their living standards and social engagement.
