Representatives of the Aiyl Okmotu and district administrations of Ton and Jeti-Oguz districts in Issyk-Kul region are mastering new strategies to advance the food security system.
Last week, practical sessions were held in Issyk-Kul region for representatives of Aiyl Okmotu and district administrations, aimed at improving their knowledge and skills, as well as developing new strategies related to food security. A total of 40 local government representatives participated in the two-day training event.
Addressing food security issues is currently a key priority for ensuring the sustainable future of the country's regions in the interests of Kyrgyzstan's growing population, and these efforts are fundamentally centered around solving food security challenges.
As a result of the meeting, participants decided to pay special attention to food security issues when implementing local development plans.
This training is part of FSDS's program to support local food systems for healthy nutrition among rural populations.
