The Public Foundation Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions, in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Community-Based Tourism Association (KATOS) “Hospitality Kyrgyzstan,” is implementing a program to strengthen tourism in Kyrgyz Republic to create income-generating opportunities.

As part of the project, 175 LSG (Local Self-Government) staff (> 50% women) and more than 700 service providers (> 50% youth) will be trained and supported. As a result, qualified and equipped local LSG associations and relevant service providers in Jalal-Abad will be able to improve the quality and quantity of their services and collaborate with national tour operators to ensure the project's sustainability.

By the end of the project, the new LSG associations will be able to adapt proven environmental and social practices to promote sustainability in tourism—such as reducing environmental pollution, increasing resource efficiency, and procuring environmentally friendly and responsible products.
