More than 30 local government employees in Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions are enhancing their professional skills within the framework of the FSDS program "Expanding Socio-Economic Opportunities for Vulnerable Groups in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan."
The work of local council deputies is to develop their town or village and improve the lives of local residents. For this purpose, deputies prepare programs for cultural and economic development and social protection of citizens.
As part of the project, workshops, roundtables, and guest meetings with leading experts in the field of social development are organized for representatives of the local governments in the Tyup and Talaa-Bulak districts.
From June 29 to July 2, Aysylbek Chekirov, an expert on inter-budgetary issues, held a series of meetings with local government deputies and youth activists to discuss issues related to local budgets, taxes, and cultural and social development.
Using the knowledge and skills gained, the deputies will initiate public hearings on important local issues, establish a regular system of information exchange between the population and local authorities, ensuring transparency in local governance.
