The workshop will be held on 8 and 9 September 2016 and will gather 34 healthcare workers from Issyk-Kul, Naryn, Talas and Chui regions and Bishkek city.
This is a joint workshop with the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic which is aimed at increasing the capacity of physicians for timely identification of backlog in children’s development up to 3 years, as well as in next steps after identification – in proper surveillance, correct assessment of the condition and diagnosis and in further rehabilitation.
The representatives of the Public Parent Associations will share practical experience of working with children with Down syndrome, with autism, cerebral paralysis and diabetes.
They will talk about the use of the international experience in their organizations which is based on modern methods of adaptation, care, practical training. How upon its application physical and psychological condition of children significantly improves, that it also enables to develop self-service skills of children, enables them to perform simple housework tasks and gradually play with other children.
The seminar will be conducted in the framework of the project "Parents- Leaders in Building an Inclusive Society", which is being implemented by the Public Association of Parents of Children with Autism, "Hand in Hand" (Bishkek) and the Public Fund «Smile.KG» (Osh) with financial support of the international organizations «Brut fur die Welt», «ICCO Cooperation» and Public Fund «FSDS».
