BUSINESS CORE COURSE FOR FAMILY MEMBERS OF LABOR MIGRANTS

Business Core Course for family members of labor migrants

Business Assosiation JIA with the financial support from  FSDS is conducting the Business Core Course that is a four training course aimed to reach out to 5 regions of Kyrgyzstan (Osh, Jalal-Abad, Naryn, Batken, Chui)  with the capacity building efforts for current or to-be entrepreneurs. First round of trainings was finished. The course is updated every ten months, and is initially planned to be fulfilled by the end of 2018.

The Business Core Course is designed to cover main aspects of business planning process which can be applied while beginning a new venture OR making adjustments to an existing business. The four trainings making up the course are Product/Service Plan, Marketing Plan, Operations Plan and Financial Plan. Each training is a one day program and serves as the beginning of a work process that the participants go through together with the trainers/consultants for four to six weeks before embarking on the following subject. As a result of the four trainings and months of consultations, each participant is expected to produce a ready business plan.

The target group of these courses is entrepreneurs coming from families adversely affected by internal and external work migration. At least 50 entrepreneurs are expected to graduate from each course.

The first round of trainings on the subject of Product/Service Plan has been completed in the following regions.
